In supporting of the PIRMCCM and its members, we work with a wide range of partners.

Particularly engagement with other regional governance mechanisms like the Pacific Heads of Health ensures that our work is aligned to the regionally mandated governance mechanisms in health.

The leading international and regional scientific and technical organisations namely, Secretariat of the Pacific Community and the UN family – UNAIDs, WHO and UNICEF are our key partners.

Through the Partnership Agreement between Global Fund and the leading UN agencies, technical support is available to the PIRMCCM and PICTs to strengthen national responses.

The Global Fund is a partnership that avails financial resources for countries to access to support their national responses for the three diseases.

UNDP
UNDP Pacific Centre is the Principal Recipient for the Multi-Western Pacific Grants.
For the implementation of the Multi-country Programmes, the UNDP Pacific Office established a Programme Management Unit (PMU) to coordinate and oversee the implementation and to ensure compliance of the terms and conditions of the grant agreements with the Global Fund and UNDP rules, policies and procedures. The PMU ensures coordination with the PIRMCCM, Government and CSOs, regional partners, the Global Fund and other key stakeholders in the health and development sector (bi-laterals, private sector) and technical assistance providers.

WHO
The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) that is concerned with international public health. In the Pacific, the WHO Pacific Office based in Suva, Fiji and Port Vila, Vanuatu support HIV and Gender and TB technical assistance to the Pacific.

UNAIDS

The UNAIDS is a joint United Nations programme on HIV and AIDs. This agency works to ensure a global shared vision of zero new HIV infections, zero discrimination and zero AIDS-related deaths. Fiji is classified as a low HIV prevalence country.

Pacific Community
The Pacific Community is the only mandated technical and scientific funded organization in the Pacific Region. The organization is the Principal Recipient (PR) of the three grants (Round 7 HV and Tuberculosis grants and RCC Malaria grant.)

KPMG is the Local Fund Agent for the MWP Grants and has been for the past ten years.
